In the street

Don't park in our street, it's the red zone, you can only park for 3 hours max. The surrounding streets belong to the orange zone, there you can only park for 5 hours.

Ghent started with a low emission zone in 2020. There is a registration obligation for foreign license plates, so please follow up on that. You can find all the info here www.lez2020.gent.

If you come by train, you can take line T1 (tram). It will bring you straight to “Gravensteen” or to “Korenmarkt”. From there it’s a 10 min walk to our b&b.

Pleas note: There are some maintenance repairs scheduled, meaning T1 won’t be operational for some time. You can take the temporary shuttle bus P4. It will take you “Korenmarkt”, from there it”s a 10 min walk or you can take tram T2 from there to “Gravenseen”, from there it’s a 5 min walk.

When we are on holidays, we like to dive into the city and have breakfast in one of the many breakfast places. That's why breakfast is not included. We made a list of our favourites, so you can check them out in advance and make reservations. In those places you’ll start the day with a big smile. But if you are the kind of person who really needs breakfast before hitting the streets, don't worry. Between 08.00 am. and 10.00 am. we offer breakfast (18 euro/p). Our fully equipped kitchen is also at your disposal, so if you want to do your own thing, that is possible. There is a grocery store in front of our house

Check-in is possible from 4pm and later. The address is: Jakobijnenstraat 6, 9000 Gent. Just let us know in the morning on the day of your arrival what your time of arrival will be, so that we can plan the day a little bit.

Check-out is possible until 10:30am, but let’s not think too much about that :).

Tourist Tax

When you check in we ask to pay the tourist tax, in cash. It's 3,30 euro per person, per night.

Shower before entering.
Use a towel: sit or lie down on a towel to keep the benches clean and prevent burns. Make sure your feet are on the towel at all times.
Hydrate: drink water before and after your sauna session to stay hydrated.
Limit session time: keep each session between 10 and 20 minutes to avoid overheating.
Cool down: take a break to cool down between sessions.
No food or drinks allowed in the sauna.
Health conditions: consult a doctor before using the sauna if you have any health concerns.
Send us a message when you want to use the sauna. It needs 45 min to pre-heat.
